Bhagavadgītā Chanting

Bhagavadgītā Chanting

01/11/2020 - 17:00 hrs IST

Bhagavadgītā is the Divine song and describes the discourse between Śrī Kṛṣṇaḥ and Arjuna whilst on the battlefield of the Mahabharat fought in Kurukshetra. Śrī Kṛṣṇaḥ describes all aspects of Yoga through 18 chapters. In this weekly chanting group there are two aspects. The first is to learn to chant the different chandas of anushtupa and upajati through the romanised transliteration of the Sanskrit Devanagari. The second step is to make the transition of starting to connect the Sanskrit sounds with the Devanagari letters. In this course we chant one chapter per week.

The sounds of these Sanskrit Ślokaḥ are more than just sounds, they have a powerful effect on our vibration bringing stability and knowledge. This is a life changing book and Brahmrishi Vishvatma Bawra ji always recommended that if you have only one book in your whole life, have this book.

For those who do not know Devanagari we chant the different chandas of anushtupa and upajati and enjoy the divine vibrations of the Gita.

In this class you will learn how to read the original Sanskrit Devanagari connecting the alphabet in the transliteration to the original letters through chanting.

These chanting classes are held on Sunday at 17:00 hrs Indian time (click here for your time zone)
